Creativity, Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Cooperation are the five c's of 21st century learning. Art Education is a perfect tool to be used to facilitate learning in these areas. I specifically advocate arts integration as an instructional strategy. Collaboration when working with learning task is vital to preparing our children for the future. Learning pods and think tanks are growing more essential in the most sought after careers. Because of this, teaching children how to work well with others and apply critical thinking skills cooperatively in collaborative settings is necessary.
When planning such learning activities interdisciplinary teaching is the skill needed to implement the most appropriate learning experiences for students. Scientific Method and EvidenceWhen making claims it is important that students know how to support assertions with facts from a variety of sources. Critical thinking and problem solving are most important in being creative and innovative to address problems of the day. The scientific method is a tool to be used in conjunction with the design process to examine concerns. As an instructor I will compose scenarios within problem based learning task and project based learning task using science, technology, engineering, the arts, mathematics, and creative writing for students to seek innovative solutions to problems posed. I will share these learning experiences here with you to encourage dialogue.

TechnologyTechnology is always evolving. With the onset of the Global Pandemic as a result of the Covid 19 Virus schools abruptly transitioned online. Because of this, teachers and students have grown in their knowledge of technology and its use to enhance instruction. Education should never return to the dark ages yet soar to meet the the expectations of The Jetsons. Here, I will investigate technology platforms and software to best serve students in classrooms all over the world.
