Arts Education: Arts education is a pathway of learning through aesthetic experiences. Art education provides students with an opportunity to examine a medium and a subject of interest and creatively express themselves using out of the box approaches.
S.T.E.A.M.: STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Matheducation. We focus on these areas together not only because the skills and knowledge in each discipline are essential for student success, but also because these fields are deeply intertwined in the real world and in how students learn most effectively. Adding the arts is most beneficial in aiding learners to process and communicate learning.
Art Integration: Arts Integration is an APPROACH to TEACHING in which students construct and demonstrate UNDERSTANDING through an ART FORM. Students engage in a CREATIVE PROCESS which CONNECTS an art form and another subject area and meets EVOLVING OBJECTIVES in both.
